About Blog#
The first time I wrote something online was probably on QQ Space. I mostly wrote year-end summaries and some daily thoughts.
Later on, I didn't write much until college. Whenever I searched for some questions, I could always find answers on English or Chinese blogs, which inspired me to create my own blog.
The first blog was probably created on CSDN, but I can't remember the account now. I probably recorded some OJ problem solutions there. Then I came across WordPress, and its customizable settings sparked my interest, so I used it for a while.
Later on, I hosted static web pages on GitHub Pages, and I started with Hexo. Other similar tools followed the same pattern - writing markdown in code repositories, building and committing each time. Gradually, I added Travis for automated builds, and later on, GitHub Actions for automated triggers. I enjoyed the process.
I also tried VuePress because I was using Vue at work at that time.
Recently, I hand-coded my own blog using Next.js and hosted it on Vercel. I used a bunch of technologies that I wanted to try, and I also created a CMS for easy article management. At one point, I even hosted it on Cloudflare due to speed reasons.
Looking back, I spent more time tinkering with the blog itself than actually writing blog posts. I believe I'm not the only one 😆.
Recently, I've been learning about web3-related things and stumbled upon this platform called xlog, which I find very interesting.
I'll gradually move some things over and update them here.
